Today we had a business meeting with David Wright of Big Yellow Taxi (formerly R&R) he spoke about his business, iconic catering, which basically means he can provide a bar, a coffee bar from a red phone box, a candy floss machine etc and he works in partnership with other local catering companies where he refers clients who want wedding or party food; hot or cold.  Sundowns will be working with David in the future to promote upcoming events and hopefully David will have a stall at some of our events, the bonus is he can make a donation to Sundowns too!!!

Thanks to all of you who attended our in-house First Aid Training on Tuesday.  Special thanks to Sue Blackburn for delivering the training, enabling our parents to gain vital skills and knowledge if there was ever a need to use them (hopefully not)!!!  Well done everyone, certificates on their way.  Sarah

On Monday and Tuesday I have been on the Makaton Enhancement Training, its a three day course with the final day on Thursday.  Helen Adams is a fantastic trainer, she is also a Speech and Language Therapist (you don't have to be Speech and Language Therapist) and she is Self Employed Freelancer.  If you would like more information please contact me.  Courses available will suit Parents and Carers with progression and courses for Professionals.  You can also check out the Makaton Charity Website for more information, free downloads and the on-line shop.  Sarah

Wow what another wonderful session.  And so well attended, this week there were 12 families who came along which was great.  My guess is that its the party food which draws people in!!!!Great to see everyone, each had an easter egg courtesy of Sundowns and some to take home for siblings.Everyone looked great in their odd socks for 'lots of socks' World Downs Syndrome Day which is next week.Hope to see some of you at Forest Schools over the Easter Holidays.  Sarah

Today I stood in for Jane Fishwick at Clean as a Whistle at the Thursday morning (9.30am to 11.30am) BNI Mercury Chapter meeting.When you go to one of these meetings on behalf of someone else you are called a 'sub' I have become 'subbing Sarah' nice nickname hey, could be worse, in actual fact I have been called worse come to think of it!!!What is BNI? BNI is a Business Networking Institute and is a Global strategic alliance for business networking.  If you own your own business or work for someone its a good place to market your wares.Why attend these meetings?

As a BNI member each week we have the opportunity to promote our cause for 60 very quick seconds, however its visitors day tomorrow, we still get 60 seconds but are allowed to take visitors and visitors mean points on our target traffic light system.Next week is Kim's allocated 10 minute presentation to promote Sundowns.  Hopefully I have done it justice, the rest is up to Kim.....good luck!!!Sarah xx

Tonight I went to Odeon Bromborough (I have purchased a one day travel insurance through Compare the Market to qualify for the Meerkat Movies two for one, which cost me a grand total of £4.36) so nipping out to the cinema with my 14 year old son has become a regular habit.London Has Fallen stars Gerard Butler as a fantastic body guard to the American President.  This film is the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and has a very similar story line.  The Prime Minister of England has died.  London comes under attack at the State Funeral.

Happy Tuesday, the sun is shining, the daffodils are blooming, and the sky is blue.  Spring has arrived.
