International Women's Day

Wow what a fantastic event that was, the queues for pampering treatments were long, but that didn't matter because the friendly volunteers were chatty and what with a brew and a homemade cake what more can a girl wish for.  The raffle prizes looked fantastic, donations were extremely generous.  It was great to see Petra Crafts and Helen with her absolutely amazing display of curtains, she can make them like 'Laura Ashley' at a fraction of the cost, check her out on Facebook if you want a new look for your living room.

Happy Monday (Kids Back to School Day)

Hurrah, just dropped the kids back outside the school gates, six blissful hours of child-free time to get on with some work without any interruptions!!!  I mean, I obviously love them to bits but one whole week of watching them watch their phone screens is enough to send anyone round the bend, isn't it?There were some highlights to the Half Term week, the children went to Centre Parks with their Dad for the weekend, my sister's and their children came to visit, so a quick tour of the house then off out to The Hazel Pear at Acton Bridge (fabulous Gastro Pub by the way) for tea.
